Ancillary Text Process

When developing this ancillary text, I first created the individual panels in a separate document which was then places into the ancillary document. When producing each individual cover, I had to make sure that they linked together and that they were relevant to the music video. This meant that I had to re-enter this environment and take pictures around it. The overall look that I was trying to achieve was the it was orientated around nature and that the face of reality is blurring regardless of the surroundings. This includes what we perceive as nature to use.  The title itself is a play on words to a postmodern era as it is in which reality and hyper reality lines are blurred. I have used the paper as a form of representation of another reality, almost as though you are looking through a window. The back cover is the same, thought this time it is taken from a location that is used in the music video. The paper is ever present and almost creeping into frame. This is then a repeated pattern until the cover of the right hand top of the panels which has the image of a gate. A gate may represent many ideologies in terms of reality. A gateway to another reality, a gateway to escape a certain reality. These are all postmodern ideologies which are present due to the idea that we as a society want to escape whatever reality that we are currently living. It is the reason why we have created different realities using the       development of technology and media. The other image being the red and white shelter that is a blurred image. This is another location that I have used within my music video and shall be an important landmark within the video. The fact that it is blurred is a deliberate reference to the blur between reality and hyper reality.
